1. Overview

By booking an appointment, creating an account, or using the Techtire website (techtire.ca), you agree to these Terms of Service. Techtire provides automotive tire and mechanical services in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password and account. Techtire reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Booking & Appointments

• Online bookings are requests and are subject to confirmation by Techtire.
• Full Tire Service and New Tire Sales bookings need no notice when the tires are in stock. You can book any day, including today. If the tires have to be ordered in, the booking form offers only dates we can keep, usually from 3 days out, not counting Sundays or statutory holidays.
• Techtire reserves the right to reschedule or cancel appointments due to availability, weather, or operational needs.
• Customers are expected to arrive on time.

4. Pricing & Payment

• All prices shown on the website are estimates and may vary based on vehicle condition and service requirements.
• Tire prices are shown per tire and may change with our supplier’s stock and pricing.
• You can pay at the shop, or online by card or, on eligible purchases of $400 or more (including HST), with Affirm. Tire and brake bookings can be paid online once the price is set, until the appointment starts. An invoice can be paid online from its link, including after the work is done. Online payments are processed by Stripe. Paying online is optional.
• Techtire reserves the right to adjust pricing at any time.

To qualify for financing, the minimum purchase is $400, including HST. Payment options through Affirm Canada Holdings Ltd. (“Affirm”). Your rate will be 0–31.99% APR (where available and subject to provincial regulatory limitations). APR offered is based on creditworthiness and subject to an eligibility check. Not all customers will be eligible for 0% APR. Payment options depend on your purchase amount, may vary by merchant, and may not be available in all provinces/territories. Actual payment option terms will be shown at checkout. A down payment (or a payment due today) may be required. Affirm accepts debit cards and PAD as forms of repayment on payment options. Select payment options may be eligible for repayment in the form of credit cards. Please review the terms and conditions of your credit card when using it as a form of repayment. Sample payment options may be: a $620 purchase could be split into 12 monthly payments of $55.96 at 15% APR, for a total of $671.52. Total cost of credit $51.52. Financing offers may vary from time to time and may be amended or cancelled at any time. See helpcenter.affirm.ca for more information.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

You can cancel or reschedule from your account, or from the link in your booking email, up to 24 hours before your appointment. Within 24 hours, please call us. If you paid online:

• You cancel, or miss the appointment. Refunded in full to your original payment method within 5 business days, however late you cancel, special-ordered tires included. You don’t need to ask.
• We cancel your appointment. You receive a full refund within 5 business days.
• We propose a new price and you decline it. We cancel the appointment and refund your payment in full within 5 business days.
• The price changes after you’ve paid. If it goes down, we refund the difference within 5 business days. If it goes up, you pay the difference at the shop or online from your invoice.

Your bank may take a few more days to show a refund. If you paid with Affirm, Affirm refunds what you paid us; interest already charged by Affirm may not be refunded. Affirm will reduce or cancel your loan. Repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows may affect your booking privileges.

6. Mobile Service

Mobile service is available for select tire services, within a 2-hour drive of our Ottawa shop. A flat travel fee applies: $150 up to 60 minutes' drive from our shop, $250 up to 90 minutes, and $400 up to 2 hours. The customer must provide a safe and accessible location for the service to be performed. Techtire reserves the right to refuse mobile service if the location is unsuitable.

7. Tire Storage

We store your off-season tires at our shop until your next seasonal swap. Storage is charged $80 a set per season. If your tires aren’t collected at the end of a season, storage continues and each further season is charged at the same rate. If storage fees go unpaid, we may sell the tires, or keep them in place of the fees, as Ontario’s Repair and Storage Liens Act allows, after giving you written notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

Techtire is not liable for delays caused by supplier issues, weather, or circumstances beyond our control. Services are provided as-is and Techtire makes no guarantees beyond standard industry practice. Any disputes should be raised directly with Techtire management.

9. Communication

By booking or creating an account, you agree to receive email communications related to your bookings (confirmations, reminders, status updates). You may also receive promotional emails, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.

10. Vehicle Reference Data

Some features of this website display vehicle reference data — including tire sizes, fitment, fluid capacities, and similar specifications — compiled from manufacturer publications, government databases, and licensed third-party providers. This data is provided as a convenience and on an "as is" basis, without warranty of accuracy or completeness. Vehicle configurations vary by trim, package, and market. Always verify any specification against your vehicle's owner's manual, the tire information placard on the driver's-door jamb, and the manufacturer's specifications before relying on it. Techtire is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from reliance on this reference data without independent verification.
